Episode 219 marks the birthday week for the podcast and its host! Let's get to celebrating! We have infamous birthday stories, special guests, and more. Hope you brought your own cake.

It kicks off with the legends of comedy, Monty Python. From dead parrots to silly walks, to insane but catchy songs, these British icons have been influencing comedy for over 50 years. We will do an overview of their career with more to come in the future.

We return, for possibly the final time, to Restaurant Storytime. The tenth edition is all about the greatest injuries I suffered during my tenure in the unforgiving kitchen. Knives, cheese graters, cleaning chemicals, and more. It's like a PSA for what not to do.

In honor of birthday week, and to make me feel old, we have a special Top 5. This week we will look at the 1970s events I was alive for. It was barely more than two years but there were a lot of famous and infamous events I was alive for.

Set your TiVo because we're diving deep into all things television in 2001. New hit shows like 24, returning juggernauts like Friends, and the dawning of the reality TV revolution with Survivor. There are also some fails like the XFL, as well as memorable commercials.

Find a safe website to legally download MP3s because we are going to look at music in 2001. The arrival of iTunes, fails by music legends like Mariah Carey, new stars on the rise like Alicia Keys, and the never-ending battle between pop, rock, and hip-hop. It's the start of the digital revolution.

The Top 5 is filled with weird and funny news stories from 2001 that might be the wildest ones yet. One man goes postal in an odd way, another man really loves his dog, and who would have thought McDonald's Monopoly game was rigged?

There is, of course, a brand new This Week In History and Time Capsule centered around Barry Bonds breaking the single-season home run record in Major League Baseball.
